Pay Per Click

How Does PPC work?

In essence, a PPC click campaign works by bidding for keywords and then paying a fee when a user clicks on your ads. The amount you pay per click depends on the competition of the keywords you are advertising. Typically it could be anywhere between 10p and £2.  You then set daily budgets to ensure that you only pay what you want to. Keyword research and clever targeting is key to making sure that you get the most out of your advertising.

There are a number of different ways you can advertise. On top of standard adverts (the ads that appear at the top and bottom of search result pages) you can advertise with images, shopping products,  videos and remarketing ads where users are shown your adverts if they have visited a certain site first.

There are lots of different ways you can set up and advertise and it is worth discussing with us your requirements so we can help advise the best way forward for you.

Benefits of a PPC campaign

PPC campaigns have a number of benefits. Beyond the speed of getting quality traffic, you can also target your traffic specifically to your requirements. For example, geographical location, time of day, user interests and demographics, or even the devices they are using. Being able to target users in this way helps ensure that you are getting in front of the right people.

Another benefit is that PPC campaigns are easily trackable and measurable. There is a huge amount of data available to you to understand and improve your campaigns.

We have lots of experience in running successful PPC campaigns for clients in many different fields and industries. We can help advise, set up and manage your PPC campaigns, giving you routine information and reports of your campaigns and advising and improving your advertising.

FAQs

We have included some of our frequently questions we get about our PPC below. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

How much do I need to spend on PPC advertising to get results?

This is really hard to answer as it depends on your individual requirements and situation. To give some examples, we are currently running campaigns from as low as £7 a day and as high as £300 a day. Your budget can be set entirely by yourself and it is our job to get the most return on your budget as possible.

What about advertising on social media?

Paid advertising on social media can be immensely effective. The platforms you might be wanting to advertise on will depend on your audience and where their attention is. Advertising on social media can give you a huge reach for a relatively low budget.

I have run PPC campaign with no results, how can I make it work?

It is hard to say why your previous campaign didn't work. However, it might have been due to insufficient keyword research, unoptimised adverts or a lack of focus on your landing pages.  Whatever the reasons, we would be delighted to chat with you and discuss how we can help you move forward and make PPC a successful arm of your digital marketing.

Do I need to do SEO as well as run PPC campaigns?

I would recommend not putting all your eggs in one basket when it comes to any digital marketing. Running PPC campaigns alongside other forms of marketing like SEO, social media and email marketing can be very effective.
